As a kid, I always knew my passion was for hair! I can't tell you how many countless hours were spent cutting my dolls hair and trying to create the perfect Ariel bang on myself.

Fast forward a few years and I headed to cosmetology school right out of high school. I graduated at the top of my class and never looked back. I spent 16 years working behind the chair and loved making other women feel beautiful.

Like Karen, I knew at a young age that I was destined for something outside of traditional college. I also started experimenting with hair early on (my poor Barbies and my poor bangs)! 

Doing hair was a creative outlet for me and being able to work with a diverse range of clients, and make a real difference in people's lives was the cherry on top! I now have 23 years experience in the beauty industry, with a majority of that spent behind the chair and running my own salon.

Our journey began in September 2021, when two small-town girls found common ground and ignited a spark of creativity. A couple of years later, KLAE emerged as a shared vision, born from a fusion of our initials and a shared commitment to excellence.

The name KLAE, ingeniously crafted by our husbands at different times, encapsulates the essence of our collaboration – a harmonious blend of our individual identities, now intertwined in pursuit of a common goal.

Driven by our collective experiences in teaching and inspiring others through social media, we embarked on a mission to bring forth a range of high-quality, yet refreshingly simple and effective products that resonate with our shared values and genuine love for hairstyling.
